Chicago dentist Dr. Robert Deaver has a good rapport with patients, according to Jim Fernandez. "He's very nice and humorous," Fernandez says. "He's attentive and has a great staff. And he never keeps you waiting - he's like a Swiss watch!"
Charlotte, N.C., audiologist Dr. Christina Seaborg outfitted Bob Martin with the "best hearing aids he's ever had," says Bob's wife, Evelyn. "Dr. Seaborg is very personable and thorough. My husband was extremely pleased with the service."
Jim Dailey of Tacoma, Wash., says he switched asthma specialists after more than a year of ineffective care from Dr. Pandora E. Christie. "Visit times with Dr. Christie were short, and results were nonexistent," Dailey says. "I was made to feel I was worried about nothing. My new asthma doctor found a long-term sinus infection and severe acid reflux. Upon treatment for those issues, my [asthma] symptoms have improved greatly." Dr. Christie declined to comment on this member's report.
Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston provides some of the best care in the world, says Jeanne Bracken. "We've been going [there] for 32 years. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer as a toddler. They followed her all the way through a kidney transplant. When they couldn't figure out one particular thing, they referred her to another hospital for a second opinion. I really respected that."<

"He's very easy to talk to and an all-around good doctor," Andis says. "He doesn't need to advertise because his patients advertise for him. I'd absolutely see him again."
Nancy Bork says she turns to Minneapolis dermatologist Dr. Spencer H. Holmes for the best in skin care. "He listens and pays attention to me, which is really outstanding," Bork says. "His quality of service is good."
Dr. William Placilla and his staff at Patients First in Tallahassee, Fla., earn Elizabeth Willis' praise - and loyalty. "In the 20-plus years I've been going there, I've never had a bad experience," Willis says. "The nonmedical staff is friendly and respectful, with a sense of humor and a smile for everyone."
Crystel Montecinos says Dr. Harold Kennedy with the Western Surgical Group in Reno, Nev., was "rude and in a hurry" after performing an emergency hemorrhoidectomy on her husband, Marco. "Dr. Kennedy didn't explain anything voluntarily and became impatient with questions. When I tried to ask him what kind of post-surgery care my husband would need, he cut me off and left the hospital for the evening. I spent many hours on the computer trying to find information the doctor should've provided." Dr. Kennedy did not respond to a request for comment.
Massage therapist Corey Knott of Essential Balance Bodywork in Oakland, Calif., knows how to undo the knots in Jennifer Kassan's neck and shoulders. "This is the only massage therapist I've had who makes my body feel like it's in proper alignment," Kassan says. "I no longer have the sore, tight neck and shoulders I used to walk around with."
