Cleveland area roofing complaint

COMPLAINT: Pauline Adams, Canton, Ohio

"I hired Crockers Roofing LLC/Crockers Roofing Services to tear off and replace the roof of my house, and to rebuild the back-porch railing. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and appearance of my new roof. I'm impressed with how the contractor explained in great detail how he would replace my roof.

"But I'm very dissatisfied with the subcontractor for the porch railing. He did not explain how he was going to do the job, and he came at a time I did not agree to. The job showed poor workmanship and was not done to my satisfaction.

"The contractor promised me that they would reinstall the railing, but they have not returned. I have called twice, and they have not returned my calls. I was satisfied with the roof and therefore was confident that the railing would be done to my satisfaction. I paid in full for the whole project and have since regretted it."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want either a refund of $500 or the railing to be reinstalled to my satisfaction."
