Philadelphia photographer won't deliver wedding photos

Published on March 1, 2009

Wedding hoax

COMPLAINT: Erik Hoet, West Chester, Pa.
"I hired Visual Graphix Inc. to take wedding photos, but they never delivered them. I'm out $2,650 and have nothing to show for it. The owner, [Brian Benjamin], refuses to return my calls and e-mails. I have attempted repeatedly to contact him for months. I met with Brian, the photographer, before the wedding and had no issues. Brian took lots of photos. They were then posted to his viewing website.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like delivery of my photos as originally contracted and a credit of $1,325 — half the cost of the photography."

STATUS: Penalty Box

Fine print

COMPLAINT: Rona Sostman, Warwick, Pa.
"I told Verizon Fios [423 W. Earlham Terr, Philadelphia] I was going to suspend service during the winter and they said that was something they'd take care of. They assured me this would be possible. I signed an installation receipt and I was never informed the fine print was for a 24-month contract. I'm going to Florida and they now say I cannot turn off the computer, TV or phone."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'm seeking suspension of all extra service while I am at my winter residence."

STATUS: Penalty Box
