Columbus roofing complaints

COMPLAINT: Jamie Boff, Dublin, Ohio

"Cheyenne Exteriors Inc. replaced a ridge vent and missing shingles. After they left, I noticed my shingles didn't match at all. Trent Banks, the general manager, told me they couldn't match my shingles any better. I said that was unacceptable."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like the roof replaced since my shingles cannot be matched. I want them to work with my insurance company to get that completed."

RESPONSE: Trent R. Banks, general manager, Cheyenne Exteriors Inc.

"The member wanted us to replace the shingles damaged in a wind storm. We identified the shingles and manufacturer, and purchased and installed them. Because the existing shingles were weathered, these new ones didn't match. Therefore, we're working with the member to make things satisfactory."

STATUS: Resolved

COMPLAINT: Mary Jo and Shannon Patke, Columbus, Ohio

"We hired First Class Roofing and Siding to redo the roof, and it's fine. However, they left materials on the grass for several weeks. We asked them to remove the materials, but they failed to do so, and we got a dead patch of grass. We had the grass fixed, and we're unable to contact them to recoup the damage."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like First Class to refund $55 - the amount I paid to repair the grass."

STATUS: Penalty Box
