San Diego appliance repair service's work doesn't fix problems

San Diego area appliance repair complaint

COMPLAINT: Barbara Huntington, Chula Vista, Calif.

"I had been having problems with the ice maker on my refrigerator not making ice for nearly a year. A & E Factory Service came out to repair it, saying it was possibly the thermostat sticking. Later in the year, they sold me a water filter and replaced a switch on the refrigerator that shorted.

"When they tested the ice maker, it allegedly started working. However, months later, they had to fix it and a water leak, yet again. This time, they fixed the drain but not the ice maker.

"Since the second repair, parts of the ice maker do not seem to match. The piece over the switch doesn't fit. Each time the contractors come by, I ask them to fix this. They tell me that they are going to, but the switch still doesn't match. This has been a nightmare from the start."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like A & E to either make my ice maker work as it should, with all its pieces matching, or I want them to replace my refrigerator. I also want them to repair the water damage to flooring under my refrigerator."

STATUS: Penalty Box

Sorry to hear about your trouble with A&E service. But it dont surprise me none. They dont have qualified service techs anymore. Ever since Sears developed then striped them of qualified/senior techs they are just parts changers. Good luck with your Refrigator.
